About the department

As Key Account Manager Obesity in Gothenburg, Sweden and you will report directly to the Business Unit Obesity Director. The Department consists of 6 people and is responsible for the implementation and execution of obesity awareness strategy for Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR) region.

 

The job

Key Account Manager Obesity will predominantly be responsible for: increasing obesity disease awareness and Saxenda® usage through development of strategic regional/national collaboration projects, ensuring ongoing interaction with key customers in specialist care and primary care, as well as expanding market shares towards Novo Nordisk’s competitors.

 

Key responsibilities and objectives:

  • Create disease awareness and prescriber activation to treatment for patients with the chronic disease obesity
  • Active interaction with prioritized key customers in primary and specialist care
  • Build, develop and maintain knowledge partnerships with Obesity KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and identify the most important KOLs in the region
  • Proactive targeting and frequency follow-up on webinars/educations/meetings
  • Initiate and lead local Acceleration projects for structured obesity treatment
  • Coordinate regional Triangle meetings with BU Obesity, Medical and MAPA (Market Access/Public Affairs)
  • In cross-functional teamwork: increase the obesity knowledge within primary care through e.g. webinars, education programs and materials, awareness campaigns
  • Initiate sales activities to optimize sales opportunities and deliver improved customer outcomes
  • Actively use CRM (Customer relationship management) system for reporting, targeting and follow-up according to sales plan
  • Secure all business activities are in accordance with Company SOPs (Standard operating procedures)
  • Participate effectively and collaboratively at district meetings, national conferences and cross functional project groups for Novo Nordisk.

 

External/ internal stakeholders:

  • Health Care Professionals and nurses, Primary care unit managers, Obesity Specialist Centres, Bariatric surgeons, Drug Formulary Committees in collaboration with MAPA, Private Healthcare providers
  • Cross-functional Team Obesity, Medical Advisor Obesity, Brand Lead Obesity, External Project Manager Obesity, Patient Engagement Manager, National Public Affairs & Public Affair Manager

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of higher education
  • LIF examination and driving license is mandatory
  • At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry within sales or marketing
  • Operational responsibility for sales, leading projects, and execution of e.g. educational events
  • Strong interpersonal and selling skills
  • Proven ability to work across different functions and stakeholders
  • Courage to break new market ground building strong relationships with stakeholders through personal engagement
  • Goal- and solution-oriented attitude
  • Compliance mindset and strong analytical skills
  • Digital Capabilities (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/CMR)
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written understanding e.g. published medical studies/training material)
