As an Associate Automation Engineer at our Anagni site, you will help deliver and support the automation systems used in aseptic formulation, filling, facilities and utilities. You will contribute and support to the development of automation and IT/OT work packages, working with colleagues and external partners to implement changes and keep systems reliable, compliant and ready for production. 

 

What you'll bring 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

•  A University degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 

•  Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or regulated process manufacturing, with practical experience in automation, IT or OT. 

•  Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA and process control systems. 

•  Experience delivering defined project work packages and interaction with external vendors or system integrators. 

•  Familiarity with GMP, change control, system validation and technical documentation. 

•  Strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication in English and the ability to work across functions. 

Useful, but not essential: 

Experience with aseptic manufacturing, MES integration, FAT, SAT, IQ or OQ is an advantage. 

 

What you'll do 

You will take ownership of assigned work packages and support automation systems throughout implementation and daily operation. In this role, you will: 

•  Plan and deliver defined automation and IT/OT activities, tracking scope, schedules, dependencies, quality requirements and completion criteria. 

•  Support the installation, configuration, integration and commissioning of systems used in formulation, filling, facilities and utilities. 

•  Collaborate with vendors and system integrators on assigned activities, following up on milestones and deliverables working closely with the PM to support coordination activities . 

•  Help execute testing and validation activities, including FAT, SAT, IQ and OQ, and maintain the required documentation. 

•  Monitor and troubleshoot automation and process control systems, working with site teams to resolve incidents and improve reliability. 

•  Investigate deviations, contribute to root cause analysis and implement agreed improvements through change control. 

•  Support operational readiness and the handover of new or modified systems to the teams responsible for daily production.

You will be based at our Anagni site and report to the Automation Manager. You will work closely with colleagues across Automation, IT and OT, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality, as well as external suppliers and system integrators. Together you will keep priorities clear, resolve issues at pace and deliver reliable systems production can depend on.

Salary

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 37,310.00 to 59,700.00 EUR, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience.
