We are looking for a dedicated Senior Manager to lead our Medical Affairs activities in Finland. In this key role, you will define local medical strategy, foster scientific partnerships, and strengthen Novo Nordisk’s position as a trusted market leader in cardiometabolic medicine.

 


Your new role

As our new Senior Manager, Medical Affairs, you will play a central role in shaping the medical strategy for the Finnish affiliate while leading and developing a high-performing Medical Affairs team. You will drive scientific excellence, foster external partnerships, and ensure the successful execution of medical activities across cardiometabolic therapy areas.


Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Shape and maintain the Medical Affairs strategy and annual action plans. You will lead the development and follow-up of the annual Medical Affairs action plan and ensure alignment with business priorities
  • Build strong scientific relationships with external stakeholders. You will maintain productive partnerships with key customers, healthcare institutions, and scientific leaders
  • Drive evidence generation and support clinical research activities. You will identify and address local evidence gaps, contribute to Real-World Evidence and investigator-initiated study programmes, and support clinical trial operations. 
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the Medical Affairs team. A key part of this role is building a strong, motivated, and future-ready team. You will ensure compliance, support capability building, strengthen engagement
  • Foster innovation and collaborate cross-functionally to advance cardiometabolic care. You will contribute to cross-functional strategies together with Market Access, Marketing and Sales. You will also drive innovative approaches to scientific collaboration and medical education that elevate cardiometabolic care in Finland.

 

Your new department

You will work closely with colleagues across Medical & Regulatory Finland, Market Access, Sales, and regional/global Medical Affairs teams.


Externally, your key partners include healthcare professionals, institutions, patient organisations and evidence-generation partners.
Your work reinforces Novo Nordisk’s position as a trusted scientific leader in cardiometabolic diseases.

 


Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for someone with a medical doctor background a postgraduate medical qualification considered an advantage. You have a minimum of 5 years of post-registration medical experience for example in cardiology, obesity, or cardiometabolic diseases. You have from former roles an excellent ability to engage stakeholders.


Moreover:

  • A proven experience as a people manager minimum of 2 years 
  • Excellent training and presentation abilities
  • Deep therapy area knowledge
  • Familiarity with GCP and clinical trial methodology
