The position
As a Sales Director you will develop and implement sales strategies to promote and sell our products. You will drive the development and implementation of go-to-market and sales strategies, foster cross-functional collaboration, and lead a high-performing team to achieve ambitious sales targets and commercial excellence.
Your other responsibilities include:
- Manage, coach, and develop the Diabetes salesforce unit, fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve all relevant KPIs for sales and commercial excellence.
- As part of the Leadership Team, co-develop and implement commercial strategies and local initiatives to maximize the Novo Nordisk Diabetes business potential.
- Drive the definition and monitoring of shared performance KPI's, that will steer the teams performance
- Ensuring accomplishment of operational business plans within approved budgets, time scales, and corporate policies for business sustainability.
- Be fully accountable for the execution of go-to-market sales strategy design, delivery, and execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- You have a Master’s degree or other relevant academic background in business, economics, natural sciences or pharmacology.
- At least 5-7 years pharmaceutical industry experience in commercial setting, a strong sales background in the pharmaceutical industry and in the UAE market.
- Excellent leadership skills and a good eye for people development are essential.
- Demonstrated success in product launches and executing marketing strategies across multiple brands.
- Experience in a multi-national, matrix-structured environment with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

You are a strong collaborator and communicator, capable of driving conversations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at senior level. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrate to be an outside of the box thinker. Finally, you share our passion and determination to improve patients’ lives.
About the department
The UAE affiliate is a part of the Business Area Africa, Middle East & CIS Countries (BAMEAC), in
Region South East Europe, Middle East & Africa (SEEMEA) and has shown exceptional launch
performances. The UAE affiliate is a dynamic organization aiming to cement Novo Nordisk’s position in the UAE Diabetes, Obesity Market & Rare Diseases.
To achieve our goals, we are looking for a Sales Director, who will drive our affiliate across the diabetes therapy area. You will report to the Vice President and General Manager of Novo Nordisk UAE with a team of talented individuals and will be part of the UAE Leadership Team.
