The Position

As the Head of Marketing – Obesity, you will lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans. You will be responsible for driving brand performance, aligning with cross-functional stakeholders, and leading a high-performing marketing team. Your leadership will directly influence Novo Nordisk’s positioning in the obesity market and shape future commercial success.

 

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, and lead the cross-functional collaboration towards the shared objectives
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and translate insights into actionable marketing initiatives.
  • Manage product promotion campaigns and ensure consistency in brand messaging.
  • Oversee brand development, positioning, and communication across all channels.
  • Monitor and analyse marketing KPIs to optimise campaign performance and ROI.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a strategic, visionary, and commercially driven leader with a proven ability to lead teams and drive impactful marketing programs. You bring creativity, insight, and executional excellence to a highly dynamic and competitive market.

 

We look forward to meeting candidates who ideally have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8–10 years of experience in commercial marketing, including people management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading marketing strategy and execution in complex markets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in P&L management and advertising ROI analysis.
  • Experience in pharma, healthcare, or consumer health sectors is highly desirable.

The Obesity Business Unit at Novo Nordisk is dedicated to creating innovative marketing strategies aimed at combating obesity while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Located at our UAE headquarter, this department serves as a hub of creativity and collaboration, with a strong focus on driving business growth and enhancing brand visibility.

Our team collaborates closely with cross-functional units to align marketing strategies with business objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach to tackling obesity. We also take responsibility for sales initiatives, working to boost revenue while prioritizing patient outcomes and satisfaction.
