The position
As Finance Compliance Specialist you will ensure that Novo Nordisk’s financial operations adhere to all applicable regulations and internal policies. You will pose a strong understanding of financial laws and regulations and well-versed in tax regulations and have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Your other responsibilities will be to
- Regularly review financial processes, transactions, and records to ensure they comply with relevant laws and regulations, Establish and enforce internal controls to reduce financial risk and ensure compliance with company policies and monitor financial regulation changes and evaluate their effect on company operations.
- Work with internal teams to offer advice on compliance matters and assist in implementing compliant financial practices and investigate any potential compliance issues and develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities, analyze financial data to recommend tax-saving strategies and identify areas for potential tax deductions and credits and provide assistance with tax planning and offer guidance on the tax consequences of business decisions and transactions.
- Reporting of withholding tax in govt. regulated portal and VAT software, respond to tax authorities' inquiries and represent the organization during tax audits and collaborate with internal teams to provide tax-related support and guidance.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
Qualifications
You hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Further sought after skills are:
- 2 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting department
- Good critical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with different stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial software and systems for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
