The position
This role will supervise the development and implementation of the local strategy and accelerate and establish the future value of this portfolio in Bangladesh. You will work with the Business Area Southeast Asia (BASEA) Commercial Affairs and Strategy team as well as working on a cross-functional basis at a local level ensuring that all stakeholder/ customer needs and perspectives are considered, ensuring that local plans and tactics are prioritized to achieve the desired goal.
This position will report to the Vice President & General Manager and will be part of the Management Team.
As a Marketing Director at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in the preparation of short, mid & long-term company ambition integrating & localizing Global (IO) and Regional (BASEA) priorities. Actively participate in setting the direction for the Bangladesh affiliate and cascade it down to the department level. 
  • Set targets & allocate segment wise approved budget, finalize annual brand plans, and product mix to ensure achievement of annual business plans. Propose and drive innovative marketing activities and facilitate roll-out of Sales, Marketing and Commercial effectiveness initiatives.
  • Aid and facilitate the sales team to implement and drive marketing plans in the field to achieve the stipulated sales target and increase market share. Ensure close and integrated interaction between medical & marketing team to get the best out of medical activities in promotional strategies and their implementation. 
  • Manage cross-functional launch team, develop, and realize the implementation of pre-launch & launch plans, including an issue management plan, monitor pre-and post-launch performance and supervise, manage, and develop direct reports through Novo Nordisk of Coaching. 
  • Implement clear guidelines and policies, delivering continuous training on compliance and ethical standards, performing regular audits to ensure adherence to regulations, and cultivating a culture of integrity and ethical behavior within the marketing team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, with a preference with a postgraduate degree in Business.
  • Prior marketing experience within the ethical pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably within a leadership team.
  • Extensive knowledge of the current pharmaceutical and market landscape. Experience in portfolio management and familiarity with relevant marketing tools, management information systems (MIS), and systems.
  • Proven ability to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. In-depth technical understanding of therapy areas and a solid grasp of regulatory affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • As the Marketing Director, you can maintain a compliance mindset and ethical business practices by establishing clear guidelines and policies, providing ongoing training on compliance and ethical standards, conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to regulations, and fostering a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour within the marketing team.
