Are you ready to be a part of our UK Clinical Development Centre (CDC) and lead training and implementation of new systems and processes? We are looking for a Clinical Training & Implementation Specialist to support team training, including onboarding of new staff.


About the department
The UK Clinical Research team of approximately 75 employees is part of the UK Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department with responsibility for running all global development clinical trials in the UK. The team has trial management and administration functions based in the UK Gatwick office and three field based CRA teams to cover the monitoring of clinical trial sites across the country. 


About the role
In this field-based role, reporting to the Head of Clinical Research, you will work closely with the Clinical Quality & Training Manager and the Clinical Management team to deliver an effective training programs across CDC-UK staff. 
A key aspect of the role will include implementation of training for new clinical systems, as well as ensuring training remains current on new SOPs, processes and legislation relating to GCP. Effective collaboration across the team will be essential for this position.


We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills and an ability to: 
•    Build and maintain relationships
•    Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of relevant training 
•    Collaborate across Clinical, particularly with CQTM, Clinical Research Managers and wider team  
•    Develop strong working relationships with other CDCs to ensure information and knowledge sharing 
•    Participate in relevant cross functional project groups within Novo Nordisk


Independence, attention to detail and initiative is expected when analysing, prioritising, planning, and performing tasks either assigned by management or initiated by the individual. Flexibility and ability to prioritise is necessary to manage a large of number tasks from different stakeholders. 

The Clinical Training & Implementation Specialist should work co-operatively in teams and groups within and outside the department yet will also need to be able to work autonomously. There is some business travel expected to deliver training in-person at regional meetings, 1:1 training sessionss, and to support department in-person training. In addition, it is expected that online/on-demand and live remote (Teams) based training is used to support activities.

Qualifications and experience
•    Educated to degree level in Life Sciences or equivalent 
•    Proven experience in clinical research environment, for example as CRA, CTA or trial manager
•    Experience as system expert / super-user desirable
•    Knowledge and hands on experience of change management
•    Excellent knowledge of clinical trial methodology
•    Up to date knowledge of the clinical trials environment - ICH GCP, regulatory issues, SOP’s
•    Ability to adjust to process changes effectively
•    Knowledge of coaching and training techniques
•    Excellent computer literacy and general IT skills, preferably including clinical systems 


Leadership Skills e.g., delivering results, coaching, and developing others, influencing, problem assessment, decision making, planning and organising, concern for quality and detail
