The Position

Perform all aspects of warehousing requirements for NNPII regarding the General Warehouse & Cold Storage, functioning as part of a high-performance work team.

 

Relationships

Manager, Supply Chain & Logistics Support.

 

Essential Functions

  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Inventory Control of newly received components/materials to include placing in locations
  • Material requisitions & staging area replenishment
  • Physical & system transfers of semi-finished & finished product
  • Pull Samples upon request
  • Physical inventory to include cycle counts & annual inventory counts
  • Look-up & reorder of inventory & plant supplies
  • Preparation & shipping of finished product
  • Load/unload trailers
  • System knowledge in Prism/AS400/SAP. Utilization of system transactions to transfer material, & inventory adjustments
  • Daily inspections of the forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, & freezer
  • Maintain up to date training status

 

Physical Requirements

Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting and standing) 50% of the time. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Handles transport of hazardous materials. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid driver’s license.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read, write legibly, & understand all department documentation required
  • Training or experience to demonstrate an understanding of the risks inherent to the processing, handling & storage of hazardous materials required
  • Minimum 1 yr. warehouse experience, preferably in a GMP warehouse or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Basic math skills including knowledge of metric system preferred
  • Computer competencies required basic Microsoft knowledge: Outlook, Power point & Word; experience with a computerized inventory system such as SAP a plus preferred
  • Good written & verbal communication skills preferred
  • Training or experience to demonstrate an understanding of the risks inherent to the processing, handling & storage of hazardous materials preferred
  • Ability to operate stand-up & sit-down forklifts preferred
  • Good organizational skills. Ability to execute a work plan & adapt to changes in the schedule a plus
