Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position
Responsible for supporting detailed system-level design, developing and implementing standard operating procedures, and leading the commissioning and qualification of automated material handling and storage equipment (ASRS/AGV). This role ensures the validation of commercial products and oversees the physical handling of materials throughout receiving, storage, campus-wide movement and final product shipment processes.

Reports to (Senior) Manager.
Essential Functions
- Provide warehouse operations automated systems knowledge to support site start-up activities and ensure operational readiness
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, supporting corporate and site safety goals, and assisting in the implementation of corrective actions from safety incident investigations
- Provide coaching, guidance, and direction to employees within the area of responsibility, including assigning daily and weekly work schedules
- Perform and oversee unloading/loading of materials at docks, receiving processes, interfacing with automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), preparing materials for shipment, and executing transactions within the electronic warehouse management system
- Support cycle counting efforts and ensure accurate inventory control through system transactions and physical verification
- Follow all GMP and regulatory requirements, actively participate in quality initiatives and audits, and ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Identify and implement performance improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Support leadership in driving accountability across the team to meet operational goals and performance standards
- Actively support training initiatives to build team capability and ensure consistent execution of warehouse processes
- Create, follow, and enforce policies and procedures that govern warehouse activities and logistics operations
- Demonstrate understanding and effective use of the transportation management system to support inbound and outbound logistics
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Physical Requirements
Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting and standing) 50% of the time. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Handles transport of hazardous materials. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in IT Technology, Engineering Technology or Supply Chain with a minimum of two years of and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) or other automated material handling technologies required
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment, including hands-on experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) or other automated material handling technologies required
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business preferred
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work within teams required
- High attention to detail and strong logical reasoning skills required
- Demonstrated experience serving as a subject matter expert in drafting technical and operational documents
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence outcomes through collaboration, without direct supervisory responsibilities
