In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose
Develop production plans and forecast material needs based on customer demand, manufacturing capacities, and lead times; schedule manufacturing lines.
Accountabilities
- Develop and publish production schedules for pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Complete daily Operations Planning tasks in SAP APO
- Update data in SAP; ensure master data integrity
- Establish production plans that meet customer demands and reflect an understanding of production capabilities
- Proactively identify and respond to potential issues affecting supply chain
- Ensure deliveries of finished products to Customers according to requirements
- Maintain and develop department procedures according to cGMP’s
- Improve customer feedback through frequent communication with customers
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders
- Implement LEAN and Flow in the plant, proactively, show a LEAN mindset
- Through high quality communication create transparency of the supply chain
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Supply Chain Management or related field; MBA preferred
- Able to develop and manage action plans to achieve targets
Desired Qualifications
- 1-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, production planning, or related field or combination of education and relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills
- Computer skills including experience with Excel and electronic material management systems
- Familiarity with SAP (APO and ECC)
- Proven process improvement and problem solving skills
- Experience in lean manufacturing
Physical & Other Requirements
- Passport needed; Some travel overseas required (min 5 weeks per year)
