Position Purpose

Responsible for supporting the proper completion of customer questionnaires as well as supporting the TTB accounting & reporting requirements & manufacturing of non-beverage product (MNBP) regulations. Responsible to analyse, track & report consumption, recovery & loss of ethanol through DAPI-US processes. Prepare & submit reports to the Tax & Trade Bureau (TTB) related to ethanol excise tax drawback. Ensure data management is performed with strong quality mindset to ensure successful audits.



  • Manage the MNBP regulations, to include the ethanol excise tax drawback from production & usage of ethanol, to include ownership of the formulas & data for the drawback claims to be filed with the TTB
  • Continuously improve processes for ethanol consumption reporting & tracking required for TTB submissions in collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance & Production
  • Resolution of internal TTB accounting discrepancies by collaborating with production & supply chain personnel through root cause analysis
  • Demonstrate LEAN mindset by proactively implementing process improvements, utilizing LEAN tools & Flow in the plant
  • Provide leadership in audits with strong knowledge of data analysis & tracking
  • Responsible for calculating, tracking, documenting & reporting the ethanol usage required for TTB
  • Lead data analysis, develop data process solutions & information delivery solutions involving ethanol
  • Create, coordinate & oversee the process for compliance reporting of MNBP process & regulations
  • Implement processes within the respective areas that maximize ethanol excise tax drawback potential, while ensuring compliance, KPIs Develop, track & report on system related KPIs to include trends, analysis & forecasts
  • Ensure monthly cycle counts are performed & maintain inventory records, as required
  • Effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders
  • Coordinate & collaborate with production personnel to understand & document ethanol usage
  • Provide training around ethanol processes
  • Completion of TTB accounting reports & data entry requirements to ensure TTB compliance, including the daily reconciliation of ethanol use, monthly count of warehouse inventory & processing of daily operational records from production
  • Other accountabilities, as required


Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant Supply Chain experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to identify root cause of problem & determine appropriate solution
  • Demonstrated skills in identifying & leading small to medium scale improvement projects
  • Understands production of processes & how ethanol is consumed/recovered for each area (Fermentation, Recovery, Purification & Production Support)


Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in GMP, TTB &/or regulated industry preferred
  • Knowledge in raw material handling & chemical preparation processes in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of requirements/expectations of regulatory authorities e.g. OSHA, FDA, TTB, MNBP, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SAP & MES systems
  • Possesses & applies a broad range of expertise in principles, methods, practices, standards, procedures & compliance requirements of a business function in designing & developing solutions
  • Strong knowledge of SAP & Syncade
  • Ability to work & collaborate with multiple levels of the organization & across different departments


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Occasionally moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 30 pounds within the facility
  • Constantly operates a computer & other office equipment using hands
  • Able to travel internationally, up to 10% of the time
  • Able to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
  • Able to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation
