Our new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility houses the Fermentation, Recovery and Purification in the production of ingredients for Novo Nordisk’s innovative oral products. Are you ready to help make what matters? Then, we are ready for you!


Position Purpose

Assist LoB with Coupa information, training & compliance. Assist with compliance of procurement for manufacturing (PfM) process, supplier issues & expansion/maintenance of site vendor managed inventory (VMI) program.



  • System manager & SME for procurement system (Coupa). Assists LoB with information & training
  • Ability to adjust content in Coupa as needed. Assists LoB with tactical sourcing events
  • Ensure purchasing process is compliant with corporate & local guidelines. Owns local purchasing SOP
  • Assist with expansion & maintenance of VMI program across NNPILP sites
  • Assist with the qualification of suppliers & help address supplier issues with cost, delivery or quality
  • Backup local sourcing responsible for (PfM) process. Assists LoB to identify PfM requirements & reviews data for compliance. Can assist LoB with questions regarding usage. Performs controls to monitor PfM training needs & spend compliance
  • Recommend changes to existing workflow & processes to ensure efficient & compliant operations
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Logistics, Business or /related field or equivalent combination of experience & education
  • Minimum five (5) years of purchasing or closely related (planning/inventory/control/finance) responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP background in logistics & business modules
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to export & analyze spend data to find trends for cost savings
  • Ability to self-prioritize & organize work based on priorities expressed by cross functional teams. Ability to execute standard work routinely & effectively

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Occasionally moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility
  • Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
  • Constantly operates a computer & other office equipment using hands
  • Ability to work on a computer for multiple hours at a time
  • Ability to work hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing environment
