In Clayton, NC, we now operate two adjacent pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. 

Our Clayton, NC Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose

Drive continuous improvement within DFP & at the site thru improvement projects using cLEAN® tools that yield significant, measurable improvements in process performance.



  • Lead DMAIC, DICOB, LEAN, or other projects selected by DFP & site leadership
  • Provide direction, coaching & mentoring to project team members & leadership
  • Act as cLEAN® leader & champion for site - living cLEAN® daily
  • Serve as a change agent/leader/coach at NNPII for cLEAN®
  • Identify opportunities & turn them into projects/project briefs for execution
  • Ensure projects are completed with metrics & timelines realized
  • Teach & coach employees in cLEAN® tools (1-star, 2-star, Event Response)
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Required Qualifications

BA/BS degree in a business or technical field preferred.


Desired Qualifications

  • 4 years related experience (line & project management), working with both professional & hourly employees
  • A history of being a top performer
  • Knowledgeable in core work processes & GMP concepts
  • Graduated cLEAN® 3 Star or certified Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Proven track record in leading measurable process performance improvements
  • Demonstrated team leadership, collaboration, analytical & project management ability
  • Ability to use & improve & manage standards in order to sustain improvements & to share them within DFP
  • Must be able to communicate effectively using a variety of media to individuals, & groups in NN, DFP Management & other stakeholder areas in a manner that engages an audience & helps them to understand & retain them message
  • Open to coaching & input from stakeholders. Comfortable in a high profile role
  • Proven expertise in mentoring/development, planning/organizing, managing resolution of complex problems solved by cross functional teams
  • Meets objectives, demonstrating strong change management skills
  • Demonstrates a natural curiosity & open mind, seeking out solutions & asking “why” the extra time


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to work near operating equipment
  • Ability to be clean room certified
  • Ability to work hours necessary to support production & /or maintenance activities
  • Up to 25% international travel could be required
