In Clayton, NC, we now operate two adjacent pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.
Our Clayton, NC Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose
Provide support to finished production department to optimize execution of assembly/packaging operations. Drive continuous improvements as they relate to the assigned process. Provide coaching, mentoring & training to production personnel regarding relevant topics.
Accountabilities
- Serve as Subject-Matter Expert (SME) for assigned process
- Responsible for providing area expertise on process execution & maintenance
- Responsible for resolving process needs & driving improvement opportunities
- Responsible for assisting the process by providing support for investigations & systematic problem-solving
- Responsible for project deadlines
- Responsible for coaching & leading investigations for process-related issues
- Responsible for coaching & mentoring
- Responsible for ensuring assigned process documents are current & standardized
- Other duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in technical discipline/related field or equivalent combination of experience & education
- Proven expertise in managing process related projects from concept to execution & monitoring
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of pharmaceutical experience
- Minimum three (3) years of project management experience
- Ability to read, write & understand complicated product documentation & standard operating procedures with attention to high-level concepts
- Ability to interact with & understand PLC/HMI logic
- Ability to drive continuous improvements via LEAN tools & Six Sigma methodologies
- Ability to develop & perform risk assessments
- Ability to understand both assembly & packaging production processes
Physical & Other Requirements
- Occasionally moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility using various body positions
- Must have ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift
- Corrected vision to 20/30
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment & can work atop elevated positions
- Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves
- Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
- Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
- Ability to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation
