Looking for someone with hazardous chemical, ammonia or gaseous transport experience

 

Position Purpose

System owner of Raw Materials & Solvents equipment throughout the plant. Improve system & equipment reliability for the core processes to meet customer, business & regulatory requirements. Lead continuous improvement activities to support daily operation. Meet or exceed customer, business & regulatory requirements in accordance with Novo Nordisk Way. Ensure all activities are aligned with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program.

 

Accountabilities

  • Lead commissioning & qualification within area
  • Support quality of equipment & processes in DAPI-US
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical & automation troubleshooting
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Provide technical support to the operating facilities to meet business goals
  • Ensure coordination & collaboration with stakeholders
  • In depth knowledge in assigned area such as equipment functionality & chemical knowledge
  • Lead systematic problem-solving efforts
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Work within a PSM environment & support routine PHA’s
  • Responsible for documentation related to system such as SOP’s, deviations & change requests
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in pharmacology, engineering, biology or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a GMP regulated environment

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of requirements/expectations of regulatory authorities e.g. FDA
  • Experience with Process Control Systems
  • Experience with chemicals
  • Proven ability to establish & maintain networks & facilitate processes that encourage cross organizational knowledge sharing

 

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility
  • Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • Constantly positions oneself to transfer materials within manufacturing environment
  • Frequently moves about building(s) to access other personnel & operational areas
  • Corrected vision to 20/30 and/or ability to pass vision screening assessment necessary to procure motorized vehicle license
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to access service equipment. Works atop elevated positions at heights
  • Occasionally required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle
  • Occasionally works around odorous and/or hazardous materials
  • Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments
  • Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment
  • Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
  • Occasionally required to wear a respirator to perform job duties. May be required to be clean shaven & pass a medical clearance for respiratory protection use
  • Ability to work hours necessary & according to process needs
