The Position
Drive Project Management work across GMS US from a P&O US perspective. Responsible for overseeing work groups created to carry out and implement projects. Develops long- and short-term business strategies and plans and oversees implementation across the GMS P&O function in US. Responsibilities include fostering positive stakeholder relationships, directing staff and adhering to company-wide policies, and supporting employee relations, performance management and employee development initiatives. Working across P&O at GMS US sites (DPM US and API US) in Clayton, Durham, New Hampshire, Virginia and Bloomington to ensure P&O strategies support the organizational objectives and alignment on US specific policies & programs.

Reports to Senior Director DPM US P&O.
Essential Functions
- Translate business strategies and priorities into P&O plans, programs and services across all US GMS sites. By conducting and structuring quality and quantitative analysis independently and scope potential solutions/approaches to the outcome. Advanced user of MS package
- Alignment and execution of strategic priorities across GMS P&O US (Project Portfolio Management). Continuously follow up on project plan, workstream progress, dependencies, milestones, actions; and adjust project plan when needed according to project governance. Prepare and execute project meetings incl. steering group meetings
- Strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders in other EVP areas and exhibit solid NN cross functional understanding
- Solid stakeholder management skills and capable of identifying the stakeholder list, analysis, and plan for how to involve and inform different stakeholders. Continuous involvement and alignment with stakeholders. Ability to sense/know when stakeholder involvement and engagement is needed when unforeseen challenges appear
- Collaborate with global centers of excellence (COE) when setting HR policies, procedures and recruitment standards across GMS P&O US
- Drive efficiency and remove roadblocks for Line of Business (LoB)
- Champion HR projects to ensure HR policies and procedures are developed to meet over-all business requirements and support site compliance. Solid project management skills with the ability to create a comprehensive project plan that outlines the project scope, workstreams, timeline, milestones, governance, RACI, risks, and resource allocation
- Enable the execution of local & corporate HR projects/programs across US sites and SVP areas such as READY and LEAD in Practice effectively & efficiently
- Continuously review organizational development and effectiveness. Assess and evolve the business, developing the organization development plan to drive organizational capabilities, efficiency, scalability, and agility. Facilitates systematic talent management processes to understand and inform future workforce needs; identify gaps and develops plans to address, invest and optimize resources
- Employs cLean leadership and tools to coach and develop employees and continually improve the P&O operations
- Other specialist duties (process championship roles) as assigned to support fellow partners & the business. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
- Champion the Novo Nordisk Way. Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and Essentials in all activities and interactions with others
- Risk management: Ability to work structured with Risk analysis, Cost-Benefits analysis etc. Pro-actively take actions to mitigate risks identified
- Self-Leadership: Proactively seeking feedback on performance and tasks and searching for opportunities to learn. Actively take responsibility for own job satisfaction incl. sustainable working habits; and reaching out to own leaders when coaching and support are need

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of progressive HR experience required
- May consider Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of six (6) years of progressive HR experience required
- May consider a high school diploma or GED with minimum of eight (8) years of progressive HR experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of project management experience preferred
- Experience utilizing Project management methods and tools required
- Project management certification and experience within PPM (Project Portfolio Management) preferred
- PHR or SPHR certification a plus
- Experience across the GMS and P&O function is preferred to navigate, align and ensure progress on strategic priorities
- General knowledge of U.S. relevant employment, HR and immigration law, personnel policies & procedures best practices required
- Business and financial acumen required
- HRIT Systems knowledge & experience preferred
- Ability to adapt, navigate and lead through uncertainty and ambiguity preferred
- Strong communication skills, able to connect with diverse audiences, coach, mentor and lead crucial conversations preferred
- Demonstrated influential and critical thinking skills preferred
- Diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills preferred
- Experience with facilitation and presentation required
- Demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive information in the strictest of confidence required
- Experience in organizational development program execution, including performance appraisal, individual development planning, staffing, problem resolution, future planning & organizational development, employee opinion survey response, etc preferred
- Ability to identify & understand the customer (internal/external), the requirements, & the processes that generate products/services that meet customer requirements preferred
- Demonstrate a disciplined approach to decision making & problem solving that is based on data & facts & is consistent with the business goals & the Novo Nordisk Way preferred
