In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.  Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose

Serves as key member of shift production leadership team, providing operations support & coaching.



  • Acts as a process advocate, coordinating daily schedule with Work Cell Leaders & support groups, removing barriers & enabling processes to run optimally
  • Serves as coach & mentor for AP team members related to aseptic technique, behavior & mindset by:
    • Visualizing/tracking events & actions
    • Confirming that operators understand & follow aseptic processes
    • Verifying that solutions work & are shared across shifts
  • Executes process confirmation of operations standards used on shift & work with process teams to proactively improve quality & compliance
  • Resolves/elevates issues related to systems such as e-time, PRISM & SAP
  • Implements process improvements
  • Observes & enforces all safety & environmental requirements
  • Manages development planning process for operators on shift
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of aseptic processing experience (Aseptic Production Department only)


Desired Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education & relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies & achieving sustainable process improvements
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing & in presentations
  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning methodologies & is able to use multiple methods to train & coach others
  • Computer expertise in the following applications: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP & novoLIMS
  • Experience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results & revising work plans


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts or longer, day or night
  • Ability to attain clean room gowning certification & work with hazardous materials, including sanitants (Aseptic Production only)
  • Ability to achieve core gown certification (Aseptic Production only)
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation
  • Able to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
  • Ability to travel internationally, if necessary
