Our new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility houses the Fermentation, Recovery and Purification in the production of ingredients for Novo Nordisk’s innovative oral products. Are you ready to help make what matters? Then, we are ready for you!

 

Position Purpose

  • Project Phase: Assist with development of systems, processes & procedures needed to build a best in class reliability-centered maintenance & metrology organization
  • Operations Phase: Interface between maintenance, metrology, planning & production scheduling to schedule calibration & planned maintenance & metrology tasks & ensure completion of work

 

Accountabilities

  • Create & manage master weekly schedule of work to be performed by maintenance & metrology
  • Work with logistics & operations to ensure maintenance/calibration tasks are identified on production schedule
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure resources are committed to performing necessary work
  • Responsible for collaboration between various stakeholders regarding information, materials & equipment together at the job site for maintenance to be performed
  • Effectively communicate risks of performing or delaying maintenance activities to management
  • Organize, coordinate & track resources for the jobs to be performed by the maintenance & metrology crews
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance & metrology tactics & strategies
  • Participation in Plant Closedown Team planning & execution
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
  • Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance scheduling or production scheduling
  • Excellent computer skills to include SAP PM/MM & Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Attention to detail, ability to think critically & sequentially with proven time management skills

 

Desired Qualifications

  • AA/AS/AAS degree in related field, or equivalent industrial, military or vocational training
  • Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving & troubleshooting. Documents problems & works to find a solution quickly
  • Supports & actively participates in event response activities for the process
  • Knowledgeable in at least one of the following systems:  compressed air, steam, chilled water, pharmaceutical utilities, fermentation, sterilization, water purification & packaging
  • Knowledgeable in fundamentals of metrology & maintenance craft skills
  • Knowledgeable in fundamentals of reliability excellence
  • Demonstrable experience with the organization of maintenance/metrology activities
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift 33 lbs. without assistance
  • Occasionally moves equipment and\or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions
  • Constantly operates a computer & other office equipment using hands
  • Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation
