In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.  Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position

Implement new technology innovation projects and enhance existing programs/projects adding value through leading edge training, process improvements and technology discoveries. Responsible for investigating, proposing, designing and implementing leading edge technologies and methods. Focus for this role will include but is not limited to technologies such as Artificial intelligence, Virtual reality, augmented reality, Digital Twins construction based aerial drones and robotics. Additionally, will partner with leaders to drive continuous improvement & sharing of best practices by networking within the Novo Nordisk Product Supply network as well as across the industry.

Essential Functions

  • Champion and influence innovative change
  • Ensure alignment with Solution Architects to ensure technology guidelines are followed and clear use cases identified
  • Support site leadership in driving and implementing new innovative technologies
  • Facilitate ongoing continuous improvement initiatives by networking across Product Supply & external organizations
  • Act as an immersive Technology Ambassador for site and associated programs
  • Drive strategic decisions regarding implementation of leading edge and immersive technologies
  • Represent site in relevant Novo Nordisk working groups, representative innovation efforts and obligations to teach others
  • Translate innovative strategies into operational goals while delivering Objectives and managing budget, timelines and program risks
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university required
    • May consider an Associate’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university with ten (10) years of project management experience required, preferably in a regulated industry
    • May consider a High School Diploma/GED with twelve (12) years of project management experience required, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Minimum of eight (8) of project management experience required, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Proven track record of leading large scale digitalization projects/programs in a complex industry required
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives as a facilitator in a complex, matrixed environment required
  • Ability to build & implement programs in a complex, matrixed environment required
  • Ability to build & maintain effective stakeholder relationships in an environment that is sometimes ambiguous required
  • Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office & ability to use and/or update relational databases required
  • Knowledgeable in NNPILP processes, GMP, Novo Nordisk Quality Management System (QMS) & standards improvement systems preferred
  • Proven track record in leading measurable process performance improvements required
  • Proven expertise in planning & organizing tasks required
  • Willingness to assist others in developing plans in a cross-functional environment required
  • Innovative approach to establishing priorities in order to accomplish objectives & goals required
