Position Purpose

Lead the facility management painting team to provide maintenance to the facility in a cost-effective manner.



  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in performance of duties
  • Proactively manage & respond promptly to Facility Management tickets related to wall repair and paint requests (including interior, exterior, and equipment)
  • Participate in negotiation of costs with all suppliers while improving value
  • Manage paint selection in coordination with room/building owners, according to site guidance documents
  • Manage selection and maintenance of equipment and supplies needed for painting crew
  • Hands-on supervision of painting crew for wall repair/paint requests, including preparation of areas in advance of the work, keeping job site clean, organized, and safe during the completion of the task, full clean-up of job site upon completion of work
  • Manage work permits related to wall repair/maintenance requests, including updating of SAP work orders when applicable
  • Manage pressure washing equipment and related tasks
  • Provide back up support as needed for other Facility Management areas of responsibility
  • Ensure all records are maintained for inspection/audit readiness
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in industrial wall repair and coatings, floor coatings, exterior coatings for industrial equipment
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations


Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in supervision of painting crews
  • Building maintenance knowledge/experience
  • Management of various fulltime contractors
  • Pharmaceutical experience a plus
  • Good communication & writing skills
  • Able to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift or move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to up to 50 lbs. within the facility
  • Frequently moves about building(s) to access other personnel & operational areas
  • Corrected vision to 20/30 and/or ability to pass vision screening assessment necessary to procure motorized vehicle license
  • Occasionally required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle
  • Ability to work in areas with odors/hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves
  • Ability to work in moderate to loud noise environments with hearing protection
  • Ability to work in high places & confined spaces
  • Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments & other outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to work in & around an active construction site during project phase
  • Available to work hours necessary to support production & maintenance activities
