Our new API facility houses the fermentation, recovery and purification of GLP1 ingredients for Novo Nordisk’s innovative oral products. Position Purpose

To serve as a financial partner supporting the investment project group, providing financial business insight & creating business value by influencing financial investment decision making.

 

Accountabilities

  • Lead & prepare investment project budgets, forecast & variance analysis
  • Work as a liaison between Finance group & Project Office PMs to ensure appropriate forecasting & budget processes are followed
  • Ensure increase of financial understanding across the organization by offering training & participating in cross area processes, site visits, etc.
  • Consolidate investment data for financial reporting
  • Safeguard that DAPI-US areas meet financial targets. This includes continuous analysis, follow-up & suggesting corrective & preventive actions to production responsible, Directors & CVP
  • Support Project Managers & Finance with asset management, including investment budget & asset review
  • Ensure transparency, compliance & visibility of financial information on investment projects
  • Develop & implement financial reports for stakeholders, ensuring reliability on data
  • Develop standard work processes
  • Serve as financial partner with business unit to provide business insight & create business value
  • Challenge & support investment projects, ensuring the business case is clear around financial impact & that proper financial governance is applied
  • Participate in investment project meetings at all levels, including Project Team, Senior Leadership, Steering Committees & Investment Governance Groups
  • Prepare & deliver timely, well-organized & informative financial data
  • Develop, document, implement & continuously improve investment cost controlling tools
  • Ensure proper investment project cash flow management
  • Ensure proper investment project capitalization application & compliance
  • Review & approve investment purchase requisitions
  • Perform assigned month end processes & monthly reporting
  • Provide support, assistance & back up to & with financial processes & audits
  • Provide accurate and timely ad hoc reporting, including creating, developing, presenting & improving reports
  • Participate in & support project work related to finance
  • Support projects on systematic problem solving or deep dive when cost challenges appear
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of financial analytical experience or equivalent
  • Strong ability to analyze & think strategically
  • Proficiency in creating & delivering charts, graphs & presentations
  • Superior written & oral communication skills with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to establish credibility & influence with diverse audiences
  • Able to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets. Able to work weekends and/or holidays, as necessary

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Financial background in capital project work
  • Minimum of three (3) years of SAP experience
  • Knowledge of business processes in manufacturing & operations
  • Strong process improvement, problem solving & organizational skills
  • Highly motivated & energetic with a willingness to lead projects & take initiative

 

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 30 pounds within the facility
  • Ability to perform extensive daily data entry & work on the computer for multiple hours at a time
  • Ability to work hours necessary to support project and/or production activities
  • Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
  • Ability to travel (international & domestic), as required
