You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.
FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. The Position
Support continuous manufacturing operations by providing hands on execution and increased operational oversight of Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) activities in a regulated warehouse environment. This role monitors system performance, resolves non routine material handling and inventory issues within established procedures, and provides day to day coaching and guidance to junior Automated Systems Material Handlers to ensure accurate warehouse management system transactions and sustained GMP compliance.

Essential Functions
- Support onboarding and skill development of junior employees through demonstration of proper procedures and consistent application of standard work
- Perform full operation of Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) input and output stations, ensuring pallet integrity, weight, dimensions, and labeling meet system and GMP requirements
- Provide increased operational oversight of ASRS activities by monitoring system performance, alarms, and material flow; identify trends or recurring issues and escalate appropriately
- Independently perform and reconcile complex inventory transactions, adjustments, and cycle counts using SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) or equivalent WMS
- Support documentation of deviations, data gathering, and follow up activities related to automated material handling, inventory discrepancies, and system interruptions
- Serve as an experienced functional resource on shift by reinforcing standard work, GMP practices, and safe system operation for Automated Systems Material Handler I and II employees
- Participate in cLean warehouse initiatives and continuous improvement activities, including identification of process inefficiencies and opportunities for standardization
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and data integrity requirements
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting and standing) 50% of the time. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. Handles transport of hazardous materials. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment, including hands-on experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) or other automated material handling technologies required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environment required
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform ASRS operations and respond to non routine system or process issues within established procedures required
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system or equivalent Warehouse Management System (WMS), including inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution required
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort operating and interpreting automated system interfaces required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a functional resource within a team environment, preferred
- Forklift and reach truck certification preferred
- Familiarity with GMP documentation practices, including deviation reporting and data integrity requirements, preferred
- Prior experience supporting twenty-four (24)/seven (7) or multishift operations preferred
