The Position

Secure supply through supporting Vendor Responsibles to achieve high supplier performance & compliance to supply agreements for material categories. Responsible for assisting with the optimization of the Supply Chain for multiple production sites within NNPILP, through data analysis, stakeholder management, problem solving & execution of changes. Identified opportunities for operational improvements & seeks agreement through consensus management. Communicate to Line of Business (LOB) approved suppliers per category. Act as a liaison between the LOB, appropriate internal stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure business objectives are met.

Essential Functions

·       Assist in managing supplier capacity by coordinating purchase forecasts and matching supplier capacities to Novo Nordisk's future production demands, while supporting supplier compliance with Novo Nordisk's purchasing-related requirements, including the completion of supplier-related change requests

·       Contribute to supplier & supply risk management in the relevant sourcing categories

·       Identify, establish, design, and share best practices with internal and external stakeholders, while building and maintaining trusting and collaborative relationships and alliances to accomplish key business objectives, and helping others do the same

·       Collaborate & dialogue with users on system support & understanding

·       Conduct relevant analytical tasks to support & justify sourcing direction & related activity

·       Develop & prepare summary reports & presentations as required

·       Manage Supplier Performance

·       Coordinate supplier audits (Quality & Responsible Sourcing) in cooperation with supplier audits & QA & participate in relevant audits

·       Assist with coordination when crisis management is needed to ensure materials are timely delivered to production

·       Monitor & support supplier performance in terms of adherence to agreements, on-time delivery, and quality performance, while maintaining dialogues with suppliers to ensure optimal relationships regarding delivery performance

·       Drive category optimization projects across the inbound supply chain to increase competitive advantage of Novo Nordisk supply chain

·       Understand broad organizational perspectives & deliver messages & presentation to various stakeholders to gain consensus for tactical initiatives & ideas, in the face of complexity or disagreement

·       Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

·       Other duties as assigned

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

 

Qualifications

·       Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required

·       May consider an Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience within supply chain, supplier management, key account management, purchasing or logistics, or project management required

·       Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience within supply chain, supplier management, key account management, purchasing or logistics, or project management required

·       Raw Material Supplier Management &/or purchasing experience preferred

·       Experience from the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated industries a plus

·       Proficient with PCs, Microsoft Office Suite required

·       Extensive experience in supplier collaboration & management of cross-organizational supply optimization projects preferred

·       Strong knowledge of Project Management Methodologies, Processes & Purchasing practices preferred

·       Demonstrated experience in SAP or equivalent preferred

·       Ability to translate technical information into operational actions preferred

·       Demonstrated experience in practical problem solving & process improvement methods a plus

·       Project Management Tools, Ariba or other eSourcing & contracts management systems a plus

·       Knowledge of US, EU regulations & guidelines, & application of GMP’s a plus

·       Experience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results, & revising work plans preferred

·       Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels preferred

·       Experience with capacity management, purchase forecasts, & matching supplier capacities with production demands preferred
