About the Department 

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.

 

FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. FF Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.

The Position

Serve as a technical resource to support site data and digitalization efforts.

 

Relationships

Reports to Manager.

 

Essential Functions

  • Work primarily with senior team members to ensure production data quality (shop floor) & corporate application understanding
  • Work with senior team members to identify application requirements
  • Assist in the implementation of stakeholders’ needs to implement solutions that support the production goals
  • Support coordination of software upgrades & releases to applicable systems
  • Assist with training stakeholders in relevant areas
  • Schedule plans and assist with execution in coordination with manufacturing schedules
  • Assist in project delivery and execution of small scale projects that involve specified application solutions
  • Support maintaining process application standards, specifications & maintenance plans
  • Own self development & initiative to understand the site process control systems
  • Understand cLEAN® within the main areas of Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, & project management
  • Operate within compliance with a quality mindset that focuses on risk management & mitigation
  • Support Corporate, PS AM, local IT, & local stakeholder initiatives & projects
  • Adhere to the Change Management standards and always manage assignments within compliance with a Quality Mindset that focuses on risk management and mitigation. Utilize the appropriate cLEAN® tools when relevant
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in IT/Engineering Technology or a relevant field of study from an accredited university required
  • May consider a High School Diploma (GED) with two (2) years of IT/Engineering or related field experience required, preferably in a process-based manufacturing, utility and/or packaging systems in lieu of an Associates degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years of IT or Engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems preferred
  • Knowledgeable in the following applications or technologies: PAS-XMES, POInTOEE, PLC, SCADA a plus
  • Experience (e.g., project management) in planning/organization & project execution, follow-up, & completion preferred
  • Ability to translate high level direction into actionable tasks that deliver results using cLEAN® / Six Sigma methodologies preferred
  • Strong IT Knowledge, demonstrating ability to handle most situations independently and with minimal guidance preferred
  • Ability to identify better practice and create improvements in methods, techniques, approaches, etc. Required
  • Proven expertise in Windows based operating systems and associated applications preferred
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (GxP) preferred
