About the Department
You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.
FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. FF Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.

The Position
Responsible for ensuring reliable and consistent operation of identified local manufacturing applications that are required to operate 24x7. Improve reliability of the process control systems to meet current and projected customer, business and regulatory requirements through the following activities: People Focus, Equipment Focus and Standards "Gatekeeper".
This position may be filled at a higher level commensurate with education and experience.
Relationships
Reports to Manager, Automation.
Essential Functions
- Work primarily with production (shop floor) and corporate as a liaison ensuring application understanding and managing continuous improvement initiatives
- Present initiatives and information accurately and explain industry jargon in a clear manner for customers.
- Support the identification of application requirements through relationship building and effective stakeholder management
- Gather information about stakeholders’ needs/process gaps and develop/implement action plans that support the production goals.
- Provides input to product feature enhancements and process improvements
- Provide resolutions to system related issues & discrepancies
- Coordinate & oversee software upgrades & releases to applicable systems
- Coach and train colleagues and stakeholders in relevant areas
- Schedule and execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedules
- Support projects that involve specified application solutions
- Maintain process application standards, specifications and maintenance plans
- Own self development and initiative to understand the site process control systems
- Support audits and inspections as SME for specified process applications
- Utilize the appropriate cLEAN® tools within the main areas of Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, and project management
- Operate within compliance with a Quality Mindset that focuses on risk management and mitigation
- Implement effective Change Management
- Support Corporate, DFP, local IT, and local stakeholder initiatives and projects
- Govern behaviour based on the Novo Nordisk Way
- Support other accountabilities as assigned

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in IT/Engineering/related field or Equivalent (experience + education) required
- 5-8+ years IT or engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging systems a plus
- Knowledgeable in the following applications or technologies: PAS-X, POInT, PLC, SCADA a plus
- Proven expertise, (e.g. project management) in planning/organization and project execution, follow-up, and completion a plus
