Your new role
You will lead the end-to-end people agenda for GBS Mexico, combining strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational delivery. You will develop HR strategy and policies, partner with business leaders on recruitment, talent development and employee relations, ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, and collaborate with global HR stakeholders across the USA, India and Denmark. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement HR strategy, policies and programs aligned with corporate standards and local laws; drive HR digitalization, standardization and optimization.
- Lead talent acquisition, retention, succession planning and learning & development initiatives to build a skilled, engaged workforce.
- Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, investigations and performance management to ensure fair, consistent practices.
- Manage compensation & benefits benchmarking and compliance; lead internal communications, engagement and ERG/D&I efforts.
- Oversee office operations for the Mexico City GBS site and lead, develop and coach the local HR team while influencing senior stakeholders.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in HR, business administration, psychology, organisational psychology or related field. Advanced degree (MBA/Master) is highly preferred.
- Extensive HR experience spanning strategic and operational HR functions (HRBP, payroll, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, performance management). Proven track record leading HR teams and delivering HR transformation.
- Experience in Shared Services/Global Business Services or the pharma industry is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, strategic planning and leading cross-functional HR initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of Mexican employment law and regulatory requirements; experience engaging with government entities is desirable.
- Bilingual: fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
- Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills; able to consult, persuade and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
