The Position
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will oversee the administration of IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Along with that you will manage licensing and service administration, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and contractual obligations and Act as the owner of specific systems or services, maintaining their functionality and efficiency. Other responsibilities will include:
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services. Coordinate the quotation, procurement, and budgeting for IT materials and resources.
- Manage relationships with IT service vendors, ensuring services are delivered according to agreements. Evaluate and adapt vendor concepts and services to meet Novo Nordisk's needs, and negotiate terms as necessary.
- Lead software testing initiatives, ensuring new systems and updates are thoroughly evaluated before implementation. Implement automation solutions to improve service efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving expertise across various IT systems and services. Address and resolve IT incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
- Support IT security initiatives, ensuring systems and data are protected in compliance with internal and external standards.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Information technology, Business Administration) · Master of Technology in a relevant field would be preferred.
- 5 years of proven experience in system administration, IT service management, and infrastructure management.
- Good exposure to IT specific applications related to Security or Infrastructure is required. Strong technical skills in managing IT systems, including experience with platforms like Tenable, VMware, Azure, and Splunk.
- Hands-on experience in managing ITIL / Agile Process in Service delivery.
- Experience managing costs, licenses, and support for vendors and technologies such as CyberArk, Splunk, Tenable, AWS, Azure, Microsoft, HP, Dell, vmWare, is desirable Redhat.
- Advanced level of English and Spanish is required.

The IT Systems Administrator role is part of the Global Information Security department at Novo Nordisk. Our department is responsible for managing and performing work associated with the analysis, design, implementation, operation, deployment, and support of the organization's information technology resources, telecommunication systems, and software/database products. We work closely with internal staff, outsourcing staff, and consultants to ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems and services. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of IT systems and services, while also ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
