Position Description
As a IT Security Analyst at Novo Nordisk, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, including data breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
  • Perform analysis of security incidents to identify the root cause, scope, and impact of the incident. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage the incident response process.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures to ensure a timely and effective response to security incidents. Following up on IT security incidents raised as part of the GSO Daily analysis process.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to identify potential security threats. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to ensure the organization's security posture remains strong. 
  • Handling potential IT security incident notifications from users and regional security responsible across Novo Nordisk. Contributing and supporting the Vulnerability Management Office (VMO) in the Critical Vulnerability Response (CVR) process.
  • Being an interface to Novo Nordisk by handling emails coming into the GSO Mailbox.

 

Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science or related field, with relevant IT experience 
  • 5-6 years of core experience within IT security, working within a Security Operations Center is a must. 
  • Incident response experience for at least 2 years. Self-managed with a strong personal drive and desire to learn and enhance skills in IT security.
  • Good understanding of IT security tools such as SIEM (good to have SPLUNK or any other technology), anti-virus, network security solutions, and knowledge in enterprise networks.
  • Knowledge of forensics and threat intelligence, as well as security certifications like CEH are a plus.
  • Fluent in English

 

About the department
The Security Analyst position is part of the Global Security Operations team at Novo Nordisk. You will be working closely with the team in EMEA and Americas. The department is located at GBS and is responsible for ensuring the IT security of our organization. The atmosphere is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on protecting our systems and data from potential threats.
