About the department
You will be part of the Cardiometabolic Marketing division, Strategic Insight group, located in Tokyo, Japan. This dynamic team serves Cardiometabolic Products and fosters a collaborative and high-performance culture. You will report directly to the Director, Strategic Insight group. The position
As the Strategic Insight Manager, you will focus on
- Identify insights and propose ‘so what’ to the business questions that are critical to achieve the NNPL business ambition, based on the comprehensive understanding of Cardiometabolic linked treatment market, competition, patients, Health Care Professionals (HCPs) as well as social trends.
- Define the best way to address business questions from research / data analysis and lead the entire analysis process to deliver outputs that are easily converted to necessary actions by business counterparts.
- Keep the relevant stakeholders updated with the latest external/internal business situations by providing reports such as business dashboards, market / competitor reports.
- Contribute to any cross-functional projects, initiatives, and activities to penetrate data-driven mindset in the whole NNPL.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or relevant field. Master’s degree in business is preferred with training in different disciplines related to sales and marketing.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the related industry (pharmaceutical/healthcare, consumer goods or other regulated industries) is required with successful track record of: market insights generation (e.g., through both primary and secondary market research) and business analysis, competitive intelligence, strong business acumen (e.g., business strategy, competitive landscape, KPI, marketing research) and working knowledge of contracts, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
- Strong analytical skills and technical IT tool utilization skills (SQL, Python, R, Power BI, etc).
- Have clear and effective communication skills is crucial for seamless interaction with the team and reporting to superiors.
- Business level in English (Minimum TOIEC 700) and Japanese is required.
