About the department
We bring innovation within the commercial domains of Novo Nordisk Pharma Ltd., in Japan. Our burning platform are the changing dynamics in healthcare, affecting patients and healthcare providers, and the team’s purpose is to ensure that Novo Nordisk continues to be a value-adding partner in the broader healthcare delivery ecosystem.

There are three innovation tracks: Frontline, Healthcare and Patient - all of which are connected. This role in particular focuses all three tracks by leading and supporting the developing of software assets that deliver value to internal and external stakeholders. The Innovation team is part of the New Product Planning & Business Innovation division.

The position
As the Software Engineer, Data/AI and Enterprise Solutions, you need to manage key data products in the Customer Data Platform (CDP) for projects led by Innovation team. Also, you will develop AI products and lead the development of enterprise applications leveraging the latest technologies within transformer-based AI.
Other Key responsibilities but not limited to:

• Build and maintain working prototypes for various projects.
• Lead the development of usable front-end interfaces for enterprise applications.
• Ensure strong collaboration with the external environment, including but not exclusive to healthcare providers, diagnostics companies, the local health data ecosystem, big tech and others.
• Drive change management initiatives within pharmaceutical.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with data engineering and analytics and be proficiency in SQL for data management and manipulation with proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex data products and enterprise applications. Experience in agile development methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
• Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch for building AI products. Expertise in Python and C# for back-end development and be familiarity with common database solutions including Snowflake and cloud platforms such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and frameworks quickly.
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
