The position

As a Social Media & Channel Senior Manager, you will collaborate with the Business Unit (BU) Head of Obesity and marketing team, define the media strategy and framework covering the media channels based on the BU ambition and each brand’s business KPIs and patients/Health Care Professionals (HCPs) targeting. You will also manage the media landscape analysis, media trends and benchmarking to have knowledge on the successful media model through the patient journey. You will work closely with Obesity BU members, Communications Manager, and Obesity cross-functional launch team to assist with the planning and execution of company-related social media communications.

Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Set clear KPIs for media, digital and social media to measure the business impact and timely tracking/assessment to adapt the media plan according to the tracking result.
  • Manage the external partners (e.g., media/digital agency, social media agency) and secure the right resources to meet our business mission.
  • Guide the planning and execution of methodical social media campaigns for obesity based on the brief from ‘patient engagement’ team and HCP engagement’ team.
  • Support communication manager by providing the comprehensive crisis management framework of social media and the monitoring / alerting KPIs.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in media management (including interaction with media agencies), issue and risk management of media, KOI management, message and content creation, writing/creating materials, analytics tools (Adobe, Google) are mandatory.
  • Experience in social media innovation, top management communication and experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferable.
  • Excellent writing and speaking expertise in both Japanese and English. Knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical business, local and company compliance, and regulatory processes.
  • Ability to build internal and external networks and strong project management expertise with a positive, creative, flexible mindset.
