About the department
The Senior Product Manager role is part of our GLP-1 Marketing Team within DBU. You will work closely with the DBU Management and Marketing Team (including the CVP, Vice President, Brand Managers, Project Manager, and Marketing Execution Team) to develop and review marketing strategies. The position 
In this role, you will create comprehensive, globally aligned marketing strategies and execution tactics, ensuring both short and long-term success in the GLP-1 and total Diabetes business, with the aim of establishing leadership in the industry. You will be in charge of leading a cross-functional matrix team to deliver the brand strategy for Ozempic/Rybelsus, with a focus on patient journey steps and ensuring excellence in business execution. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating with Global/International Operations on various committees representing the Japan Region and partially covering the role of senior director as needed. 
Other role expectations include, but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing Management to develop Short & Long-term Marketing Strategy for GLP-1 products (Ozempic, Rybelsus, and Victoza).
  • Create impactful, measurable, and globally aligned marketing strategies and execution tactics to ensure short and long-term success in the GLP-1 and total Diabetes market, aiming to establish leadership in the industry.
  • Conduct Market Research to capture market trends and competitors' activities, adjusting business strategies accordingly.
  • Study marketing initiatives to identify their impact on the business' success and brand strengthening.
  • Lead the cross-functional matrix team to deliver the brand strategy for Ozempic/Rybelsus, ensuring excellence in execution and delivery of business through effective salesforce liaison and leadership.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above is required.
  • Native Japanese language proficiency and a business-level proficiency in English, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience including 1 or more of Brand Marketing, New product launch, Digital Marketing such as multi-channel strategy development, and digital contents creation.
  • Working experiences in life-science industry is required. Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
  • Logical thinking, data driven, collaborative attitude, and strong stakeholder management abilities are required.
