This position will be responsible for works on the market access and strategic pricing projects related to (1) development of Asset Strategy; (2) development and execution of strategic pricing and reimbursement negotiation; and (3) optimizing patient access and maximizing product value for NN products, achieving the Market Access and Pricing goal of “Optimize patient access and secure value competitiveness.”

There will be many chances where you will explain to and be recognized by the members of the high job levels. There are many development products, so you can gain pricing negotiation experience.

 

The Position

The Pricing Manager is required to work and conduct strategic imperatives as below:

(1) works on supportive task for pipeline access plan and mid/long term price forecast

  1. works on development of pipeline access plan and share the knowledge with other pricing managers for pipeline products (e.g., Diabetes, Obesity, NASH, CVD, Alzheimer, CKD, Growth Hormone, Heamophilia, and other serious chronicle disease areas) having direction from Senior pricing manager/Director
  2. works on mid/long-term price forecast, reflect pricing input to R&D plans in connection with crucial CMR projects (e.g., PPR-portfolio review meeting-) and financial projects (e.g., AB* planning, and LTF**) and support on other pricing manager having direction from Director

 

(2) works on supportive tasks for the strategic price negotiation strategy and execution

  1. works on development of price negotiation strategy and implementation (e.g., MAP Launch activity plan, pricing dossier creation, MHLW communication documents -Word/PPT/Excel file, project management of payer and market research, presentation for internal/external key stakeholders, and participation in pharmaceutical association activities) having direction from Director
  2. Share innovative approaches based on insight into the most current pricing policy and assessment of future changes
  3. Support other pricing managers flexibly for development of price negotiation strategy and execution having direction from Senior pricing manager/Director

 

(3) works on supportive task for WPP/ARP strategy, support for HEOR (health economic and outcome research) activities, and local payer communication strategy

  1. support development of WPP/ARP scheme (e.g., WPP/ARP rate setting for balancing PPP***) and endorsement on WPP/APR from senior managements
  2. Supports on development of LMA (local market access) organization plan and creation of local payer communication strategy
  3. Supports on development of HEOR evidence (e.g., CEA analysis, publication of evidence, project management, KOL engagement)

 

(4) works on the close communication with internal/external stakeholders and support to establish a strong relationship as representative of NovoNordisk

  1. works on a cross-functional team with internal stakeholders (e.g., IO/HQ Pricing/Insight and Sales Forecasting team, EMT, CMR, commercial, Finance, Wholesaler team, and L&C)
  2. works on to create a communication plan, establish and maintain a strong relationship with external stakeholders (e.g., MHLW, PMDA, Pharmaceutical associations, academia, and partnership companies)

 

(5) works flexibly on Market Access & Pricing team to support the achievement of team goals and NNPL purposes

  1. Support team members proactively for facilitating their development and achievement of critical goals

 

(6) work closely with the MAEA team and support MAEA key priorities

  1. Support MAEA team members proactively for supporting their development and achievement of critical goals

Education:

 

Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field required. A master’s degree is preferred

 

Qualifications

 

Required experience

  1. A science background is required
  2. Three years of regulatory, medical, marketing, Finance, data analysis, or strategic consultancy experience
  3. High affinity with NNWAY of Management
  4. Experience in communication with global counterparts within pricing function
  5. Stakeholder and academia (e.g., board members in scientific association) engagement experience
  6. Three years of pharmaceuticals or healthcare-related industry/organization experience
  7. Cross-functional project management experience (at least two projects from start to end)

 

Preferred experience

  1. Price negotiation experiences are highly appreciated
