Strategic Pricing Group at Novo Nordisk engages with diverse stakeholders across political and healthcare landscapes to drive patient access to innovative products. The position

As a Pricing Specialist, you will be in charge of executing market access and strategic pricing projects, including developing price negotiation strategies, initiating innovative approaches for timely price listing, working on pipeline access plans and mid/long term price forecasts, Wholesaler Purchase Price (WPP)/Average Realized Price (ARP) strategy, and Health Economic and Outcome Research (HEOR) activities. Additionally, the position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, as well as flexible assistance for achieving team goals and Novo Nordisk Japan (NNPL) purposes, in close communication and relationship-building with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute price negotiation strategies, collaborating with pricing team members under the Group Manager's direction.
  • Contribute to pipeline access plans and mid/long-term price forecasts in the designated disease area, contributing to CMR and financial projects guided by the Group Manager.
  • Contribute to the development of WPP/ARP schemes, local market access plans, HEOR activities, and payer communication strategies, with endorsement from senior management.
  • Foster close communication with internal stakeholders and external entities, maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Work flexibly within the Market Access & Pricing team, addressing prioritized issues, including supply issues, and collaborating with the MAEA team to achieve critical goals and priorities.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above is required.
  • Experience in pricing is mandatory.
  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Experiences in life science industry is required (Pharmaceutical industry preferred).
