About the department
The Medical Affairs department at Novo Nordisk is devoted to improving patient outcomes and providing medical guidance to the organization. We work closely with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOL), and international professional associations to ensure the highest standards of medical knowledge and communication. Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients and driving new digital innovation and KOL engagement projects in the healthcare industry.
The position
As the Medical Project Manager, you will be responsible for timely planning and proper execution of projects, which are initiated by the Director, and Project Manager, based on identified and agreed needs to fulfil objectives on departmental and/or project level(s). You need to Identify and maps key stakeholders and makes the most of the information available to understand their needs and motivations. Also, you need to understand all functional deliverables and interaction processes needed to ensure a successful annual strategy and planning process.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project management: develop detailed project plan incl. project metrics and execute medium complexity projects in medium scale according to plan and budget to secure agreed goals are met on time and in high quality.
- Engages with vendors, challenges content and proposed costs and secures involvement of Corporate Sourcing when required. Understands and executes Project Agreement (PA)/Purchase Order (PO) process. Identify risks and mitigation actions in the process of execution.
- Internal and external stakeholder management: Communicate timely and via relevant channels to ensure continued high buy-in and motivation from key stakeholders. Recognise areas of mutual interest, proposes solutions and makes clear considerations for how to strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
- Global communication and cross-functional cooperation: understand all functional deliverables and interaction processes needed to ensure a successful annual strategy and planning process.
- Oversee organisational set-up of respective global medical affairs and other affiliates and establishes structured contact to global medical affairs and other affiliates.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience (back office and/or field experience preferred) is required.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on time.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
- Business level in both English and Japanese is required.
