About the department
You will join the Novo Nordisk Japan HR Business Partner, People & Organisation (P&O) Division. The role will report directly to the Senior Director, HR Business Partner. Our team is focused on shaping the organization’s human resources strategy, encompassing recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, mobility, talent acquisition, diversity, talent management, and organizational development. We cultivate a collaborative and dynamic environment where you can drive meaningful change.
The position
As an HR Business Partner at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Collaborate with business leaders to advance people and organizational agendas in line with business drivers and strategy, using data to assess challenges and provide solutions for client groups.
- Lead cross-functional projects spanning various P&O sub-functions and business units to drive impactful change and progress.
- Influence cultural evolution by collaborating with the Center of Excellence (COE) on rewards systems, employee engagement, leadership development, talent management, and inclusivity, while implementing talent management solutions to enhance various aspects of talent development and retention.
- Build people manager capabilities aligned with Novo Nordisk Way principles, provide coaching to business leaders to enhance team effectiveness, and utilize consulting skills to effectively engage and assist client groups.
- Ensure adherence to Japan Novo Nordisk Pharma Ltd. (NNPL) and HR policies, local laws, and regulations while guiding decision-making to mitigate risks, serve as an objective employee resource, drive people data analytics for actionable insights, and grow HR and business understanding through stakeholder partnership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience required, with a preference for Generalist or HRBP roles.
- Experience in employee relations, data analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office Suite is required.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is essential, with a preference for learning agility in English.
