The position
As a Finance and Business Analysis Director, you will drive financial planning and analysis in Diabetes Business Unit (DBU) for both short and long-term success of DBU. You will
support CVP, DBU Management to make sound decisions by providing data and insights including customer data which consists of more than 10,000 customers. The analysis will lead to make the decision on business strategy and how to lead Sales team to maximize the business result. You will also work closely with DBU management, marketing team, finance, and Business Intelligence & Customer Excellence team.  
Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyse latest business situation by utilizing and integrating all available data source (inhouse / primary / secondary) to generate customer insight and provide recommendation to business strategy & tactics.
  • Analyse Sales Activity data through Sales Management portal and explore what is working and what is not working from the Annual Strategy and make a recommendation. Prepare analysis, commentary and presentation material for financial reviews and reports.
  • Through periodical competitor analysis, provide insights to the DBU team and leverage the findings to revise the current strategy and formulate the future strategy.
  • Collect information and purchase effective secondary/primary data source, develop advanced analytics, and install software to accelerate enhancement of internal analytic capability.
  • Support DBU for the Budget planning of Anchor Budget (AB) and Rolling Estimates (RE). Occasionally act as a Finance partnering for CVP, Diabetes BU Management by helping with the budget planning, tracking, and decision making.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business planning or business controlling, management reporting, Market insights generation and Business analysis.
  • Experience in Finance Planning & Analysis (CPA/MPA), data and related data analytics, big data analytics (10,000+ database) are highly preferred.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as OCE, SFDC, Power BI, Qliksense, or Tableau is considered as an advantage.
  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level English is required.
