About the Department


In Novo Nordisk Japan, Data management is one of the globally focused topic. There will be many opportunities to propose and be recognized members inside and outside the organization as Japan is a trusted country with high presence and always gets nominated for pilot studies. The CRM system Japan members proposed and developed in the past is now being used all over the world. It would be a great experience where you could leverage your data develpoment and system implementation skills.



The Position


As a Data management and Solution Developer we expect you to have these qualities; Delivery focus - Help the internal customer to define and implement data architectures (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, datamart, etc) into global IT AWS environment; Solutions focus - Deliver on-site technical assessments with partners and customers. This includes participating in users meetings, understanding customer requirements, creating packed Data & Analytics service offerings; Innovate- Engineering  with the customer’s business and global IT technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment; Leadership - Guide data architecture and data engineering support teams to deliver project implementations successfully.  Interface with internal customers from analysts to senior management in a consulting capacity. Manage analytics projects iteratively to ensure adoption of “information product” deliverables. Support global Teams on engineering and implementation. Global environment experience is needed.


Other role tasks are as follows but are not limited to:



  • Serve as an expert for existing systems and/or solutions with technical and organizational expertise in multiple areas towards colleagues outside of the belonging organizational area.
  • Employ comprehensive knowledge to influence and improve technology and solution decisions.
  • With access to various information sources, new IT technologies and process should be identified, that provide effective Data and BI platform.
  • Apply data and information assets to optimize sales, marketing and finance.


Project Activities

  • Achieve goals by participating in project teams. Drive on assigned tasks and action items according to the project planning. Agile way of working is required.






  • 8+ years of experience of IT platform implementation in a technical and analytical role.
  • 3+ years of experience of Data Lake / Data warehouse platform implementation, including hands-on experience (implementation and performance tuning) implementations.
  • 3+ years working with Cloud technologies.
  • Experience with SQL and python coding with respect to data transformation.
  • Experience ingesting data from different sources and/or ETL development experience.
  • 5+ years of data modelling and implementation experience.
  • Strong knowledge around best practice data governance principles.
  • Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge around Data Pipelines and GIT.
  • Experience on Pharma Business companies is a plus. Business domain experience across Marketing, Sales, Finance and Customer support
  • Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including NoSQL databases, Data Warehouse, BI reporting and Dashboard development.
  • Knowledge of enterprise level CRM and ERP systems SAP
  • Skill in enterprise-level visualization and analytics platforms such as Business Objects, Alteryx, Tableau, QlikSense
  • Demonstrated passion in building solutions to answer business questions and improve business processes
  • Fluent Japanese skills verbal and written communication
  • Fluent English skills verbal and written communication
  • Customer facing skills to represent IT well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-of, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.
