About the department
You will be a part of our Finance department in our Finance & Operations division. The team is covering all our Therapeutic Areas and as a Controller, you will drive financial planning and analysis at Novo Nordisk in Japan. You will support management to make sound decisions by providing data and insights. In addition, as a member of the Regional Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team, you will act as a liaison between Region Japan and International Operations located in Zurich and occasionally other countries as well. Your geographic responsibility will be Japan.
The position
As a Controller at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Budget planning for Anchor Budget (AB) and Rolling Estimates (RE)
- Finance partnering for divisions by assisting with budget planning, tracking, and decision making.
- Prepare analysis, commentary and presentation material for financial reviews and reports
- Lead projects in Finance or participate as a key member in cross-divisional projects
- Ad-hoc analysis tasks and project management as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- At least 2 years of experience in business planning and/or controlling or other relevant strategic finance-related experience.
- CPA certificate strongly preferred
- Strong ability to communicate and influence stakeholders across the organization and constructively challenge status quo.
- Fluent Japanese with strong business English proficiency required.
