About the department
You will be part of the Communication & Sustainability Department within Market Access and External Affairs division. Based at our Japan headquarters in Tokyo, this team is at the forefront of shaping Novo Nordisk’s reputation and fostering positive relations with internal and external audiences. The division is dynamic, collaborative, and driven by a shared commitment to excellence. With a focus on public opinion, government policy, and community engagement, we aim to address social, economic, and environmental challenges while promoting Novo Nordisk’s image in a positive way.
The position
As a Communications Specialist/Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans and identify key messages and channels to effectively reach target audiences.
- Manage internal and external and digital communication initiatives, oversee the creation of contents for both internal teams and external stakeholders, while ensuring consistency and quality across all communication materials.
- Ensure alignment with branding and editorial guidelines and maintain adherence to Novo Nordisk’s branding and editorial standards in all communications in alignment with corporate identity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support organizational goals and work closely with other departments to align communications efforts with strategic priorities. Additionally, Build and maintain relationships with external partners, media, and industry representatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance on communication strategies and act as a subject matter expert, advising senior leaders on effective communication approaches and mentoring and supporting them in developing their communications skills if as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- 3+ years of experience in Communications within Healthcare industry.
- Experience in writing and developing digital contents and use of digital channels
- Experience as MR, Marketing, and/or other Commercial functions within the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred.
- Fluent Japanese and strong Business English fluency required
