About the Department

Anchored by Rare Disease Business Unit Commercial Group, you will lead commercial excellence team, cooperate with different teams to plan, coordinate, and execute commercial excellence activities. At the same time, you will also work close with global team for running different projects to improve business processes.  


The Position

Oversee sales and operations within Rare Disease business unit, ensuring that their tasks are carried out to the highest standard in line with the business unit strategy. This involves the team identifying areas of the weakness and strengths and managing the change to achieve excellence through the unit.


Your key responsibilities will be:


  • Sales goal setting (Group / Area) and decide sales target and allocate sales target to blocks, areas and individual. Support for sales plan and marketing plan, create Field Force Business Plan template aligning with strategy.
  • Segmentation Targeting (Doctor / Facility), maintain facility and doctor targeting by the business plan, introduce new targeting scheme based on territory and call plan guidance (Doctor / Facility).
  • Set up incentive scheme, update sales incentive scheme according to the half-year business plan and annual awards (Best MR, Best Area, etc).
  • Do budget controlling, create budget plans, and manage budget progress.
  • Development support for global systems (OCE and Qlik Sense) and promotion of Digitalization/Projects (e.g., Mid-term Strategic Project etc) in Rare Disease business unit.



  • Bachelor’s degree or above with more than 3 years of commercial excellence, sales force effectiveness, analytical or brand management experience is preferred  
  • Fluent in Japanese and business-level English required
  • Strategic way of thinking, analytical skill, excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrate ability to constructively challenge assumptions and directly influence others in a respectful manner
  • Great communication & social skills, problem solving skills and acceptance for change
