About the department
Business Support (BS) Department is a key service pillar for all departments at the Chartres site. With strong relationships across the Novo Nordisk Group and with external partners, BS ensures the site runs smoothly and effectively. With nearly 120 employees, it brings together several complementary areas of expertise :
- Operational Excellence, combining Lean, Digitalisation, and Innovation to drive continuous improvement, support digital transformation, and resolve complex, field-based challenges.
- Finance & Procurement, ensuring rigorous financial management and responsible, high-performance purchasing, fully aligned with ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Supply Chain, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to guarantee product availability for patients worldwide.
- Warehouse Services, responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching products, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and reliability essential for the continuity of our industrial operations.
The position
As a Business Support Director at Novo Nordisk, you will :
- Lead and develop leaders across the business support function, motivation, operational excellence through strong people management, lean leadership and alignment with Novo Nordisk values.
- Facilitate and organize the site strategy as a member of site management.
- Oversee supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, and shipments.
- Lead finance and purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with accounting, taxation, and legal requirements.
- Drive warehouse management, including storage, receipts, shipments, and spare parts inventory.
- Spearhead digitalization efforts, focusing on process optimisation, business intelligence, and manufacturing intelligence.
- Establish operating budgets and investment plans for the department.
- Represent Novo Nordisk in external events and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
- Drive health and safety strategies in line with Novo Nordisk EHS systems and local regulations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need :
- A BAC+5 in Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain
- 10+ years in a leadership role, with exposure to an international environment
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance & LEAN methodologies (Green/Black Belt is a plus!)
- Strong stakeholder management skills to drive alignment across the organisation
- Fluency in English is mandatory. French is a plus, and we welcome candidates who are open to developing their language skills

Salary : For this role, the annual base salary range runs from 88 590 to 141,730 € corresponding to the level of position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate's skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits : The salary package may include short-term and/or long term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
