About the Department

With this purpose, we are expanding our GLP-1 Diabetes Business Unit and looking for a Regional Medical Manager who identifies with our purpose and passionate to work for it.

The Position


In this role, you will be expected to provide scientific/medical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding Novo Nordisk products in alignment with current global strategic objectives as well as local business needs, ensuring that the profile of Novo Nordisk remains high amongst Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and patients.


As Regional Medical Manager for Visayas and Mindanao, you will report directly to Clinical, Medical, Regulatory & Quality Director, and will be based in Cebu.


Your job is primarily field based (>50%), with traveling required across the Philippines.


Primary tasks include, but not limited to:


  • Serving as a scientific expert, accountable for both internally and externally for scientific communication aligned with strategic imperative and healthcare market challenges, executing medical education activities (small-scale regional/large scale national scientific activities) and engagements that is compliant with ethical standards, company procedures and other local legal requirements
  • Implementing the Medical Affairs strategy and key tactics, fostering collaborative relationship with KOLs and facilitating the exchange of unbiased scientific information (including deep and advanced diabetes knowledge and product expertise) between the medical community and Novo Nordisk to develop scientific advocacy for our products at a local level in line with business needs primarily (90%) through face to face and virtual interactions
  • Answering medical queries related to products raised by HCPs and field staff in Orchestrated Customer Engagement – Medical Information Request Form (OCE-MIRF) and assisting cross-functional teams (i.e. sales, marketing) in designing and implementing educational programmes that are aligned with the current medical-marketing strategies
  • Assisting the Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, Quality and Pharmacovigilance (CMRQPV) team by providing medical information/documents necessary for regulatory affairs (RA) activities, aligning with the medical strategies and plans of the CMRQPV head, and facilitating in planning & execution of new product launches
  • Visiting clinical trial sites in case medical interaction assistance is requested by the clinical trial department and supporting investigator sponsored trial internal process





  • You are a local licensed Physician with minimum 1 year of post licensure experience preferably in pharma industry.
  • You possess effective communication and social skills and have a strong ability to influence and work with cross-functional colleagues as well as external stakeholders.
  • You are strategic, problem-solver, and innovative with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Your post graduate medical qualification and your knowledge and experience on various disease areas (Diabetes, Cardiovascular, other Endocrine-related disorders) are desirable.
  • Your experience and knowledge of the local healthcare landscape and customer base as well as your fluency in written and spoken English are considered added advantage.
