The position is based in our Moroccan affiliate and reports directly to the General Manager.

 

The Position:

As our Strategic Operations Head, you will contribute to the development of the affiliate and business unit strategies by providing actionable insights and recommendations to inform on current business and driving strategic decision-making for future strategy and growth initiatives. You will be a key member in the Management Team tasked to explore new opportunities & key projects and drive strategic opportunities and partnerships for our business. In addition, you will lead and provide resources to cross-functional / cross-portfolio projects, Commercial Excellence initiatives, and activities as needed.

 

Main accountabilities will include:

  • Lead strategic projects assigned by the General Manager, including cross-functional initiatives like the Future Frontline Customer Engagement (FFCE) and Multi-channel Customer Engagement (MCE) agendas, market shaping projects, and retail strategy.
  • Facilitate and drive cross-functional projects that support affiliate and business unit ambitions, ensuring effective execution of Commercial Excellence initiatives.
  • Provide input and support to business units on strategic projects and help with change management to adapt to evolving business conditions.
  • Offer business analysis support, gathering customer insights, identifying growth opportunities, and aiding decision-making through data-driven solutions.
  • Proactively explore and drive new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives, including launch planning for future products.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or other relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare, consumer goods or other regulated industries with successful track record in marketing, sales, commercial excellence and/or operations & Business Development ideally in international context
  • Experience as a project lead driving complex projects where input and alignment needed across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to constructively challenge assumptions and influence others
  • Ability to manage business complexity
  • Record of innovation, advocating for new ideas and strategies from concept to delivery
  • Fluency in English is a must, proficiency in French is a plus.

 

About the Department

We are located in Morocco, Casablanca in an office of around 50 engaged employees all supporting our affiliate in areas related to Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Public Affairs, P&O, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, IT and Legal. The Business unit is staffed with different backgrounds. Our main objective is to ensure we have the best organisation and right people in place to ensure continued growth in the business area. Our role is to support the affiliate in rolling out and executing the business-related activities as well as representing the area to the wider Novo Nordisk organisation.
