Then we invite you to apply for the role as Head of Legal, Ethics, Compliance (LEC) in Novo Nordisk Morocco. You will be part of Morocco Leadership Team and be based in Casablanca Morocco. In this role, you will report to the General Manager of Novo Nordisk Morocco, with a dotted functional line to the Senior Director of Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Quality, BAMEAC (Business Area Middle East, Africa and CIS) Region.


The position


As the Head of Legal Ethics and Compliance, Morocco, you will act as a motivated and highly engaged member of Morocco Leadership Team, role modelling business ethics and quality mindset and the Novo Nordisk Way.

Your responsibilities will be;

  • Developing and leading the Legal and Compliance in Morocco. You will drive a strong Business Ethics mind-set among all leaders and employees.
  • Being a part of Morocco Leadership Team, setting direction on legal, ethics and compliance matters and being a trusted and solution oriented sparring partner to the Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
  • Play a critically important role in managing legal, ethics, compliance risks in Morocco. You will ensure together with Novo Nordisk Morocco Leadership Team a very strong ‘tone from the top’ culture.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with other functions to enable business strategy and opportunities while ensuring that we never compromise on quality and business ethics.




You have a master’s degree in Law or/and are accredited to a relevant bar as a lawyer. You have at least 7 years of legal and compliance experience, as an external or in-house counsel. Experience in multinational organisation, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, is a plus. You have excellent command over both written and spoken English, French and Arabic. Further sought-after skills are:

  • You have an extensive legal knowledge and understanding of both global and internal regulation within multinational pharmaceutical companies or similar regulated sectors.
  • You have experience in leadership and people management position within a matrix organisation is a plus.
  • You are proactive, solution focused, pragmatic and have worked in a multicultural environment
  • You possess strong business partnering and communication skills, a genuine interest and curiosity to understand the business and where Legal, Ethics and Compliance can optimally support a business agenda.
  • You have a strong executive presence in dealing with senior stakeholders, personal drive with a ‘can-do’ attitude, demonstrating proactive thinking and a “show the way” approach and ability to turn complex information into simple and compelling messages.

About the department


At our office based in Casablanca-Morocco, we are medium size company, all supporting our affiliate with issues related to People and Organization, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, IT and Legal. Our role is to support the affiliates in rolling out and executing on Marketing related activities as well as representing the area to the wider Novo Nordisk organisation.
