Communication Manager

Shape how Novo Nordisk Egypt tells its story — lead integrated communications with a robust focus on media and digital channels (including social media), and sustainability initiatives that strengthen reputation, support business priorities in cardiometabolic and rare diseases, and engage both external stakeholders and our people.
Your new role
You will plan, produce and execute integrated communication initiatives across internal and external channels to support corporate and divisional goals.
Day to day you will:
- Develop and implement proactive media relations and dynamic social media strategies that advance Novo Nordisk Egypt’s business objectives, especially supporting the launch of key products (branded and unbranded).
- Lead digital content and campaign execution across all local social media channels, focusing on driving engagement and building buzz among target audiences.
- Translate business priorities into integrated communications plans, aligning messages with corporate strategy and local needs.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key media outlets, digital agencies, patient advocacy groups (PAGs), and other external stakeholders.
- Lead issue and crisis communication planning: prepare issues management plans, reactive statements, messaging platforms and media responses in coordination with Global Media Relations.
- Design and deliver internal communications to inform and engage employees — using townhalls, newsletters, SharePoint/Yammer, and other local/global tools to strengthen employer reputation and alignment.

You will join a collaborative corporate affairs team that partners closely with commercial, medical, HR colleagues. The team’s purpose is to protect and enhance Novo Nordisk’s reputation, enable business outcomes and foster a culture of engagement and trust.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with strong execution:
- University degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in communications within the private sector, ideally in FMCG or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience in communications planning, media relations, and social media/digital campaign management with a proven track record of successful campaign execution in fast-paced markets.
- Strong editorial skills and experience producing communication across channels (press, digital campaigns, print, social, audio and video).
- Proven ability to manage issues and crisis communications, and to prepare clear reactive messaging.
- Experience in internal communications and employee engagement programs.
- Experience or strong interest in sustainability communications and stakeholder partnership building.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder management and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
