Do you want to shape impactful, science-based communication that builds disease awareness and engages the public responsibly? We are looking for a Digital and External Communications Manager to lead integrated campaigns across digital, social and PR channels, ensuring strong performance, compliance and meaningful consumer engagement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality communication initiatives with measurable impact.
Your new role
As our Digital and External Communications Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing and optimising integrated communication activities that support disease awareness and consumer education.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Plan and manage disease awareness campaigns across digital, social, programmatic, Google, native, PR and media channels, ensuring consistent messaging and strong consumer relevance.

Drive PR and external communication activities, including press materials, media relations, journalist engagement, interview coordination, thought leadership content and native/editorial opportunities.

Own and coordinate the social media content calendar, including content planning, agency briefing, post scheduling, community signals and performance follow-up.

Coordinate influencer, expert and digital opinion leader activities from planning to execution, including timelines, content development, approvals and performance tracking.

Oversee disease awareness websites and campaign microsites, including content updates, UX improvement opportunities, agency coordination and performance optimization.

Lead the development and day-to-day management of integrated digital and external communication plans across paid, owned and earned channels.

Manage agencies and external partners, including creative, media, PR, digital and content agencies; ensure clear briefs, timely delivery, quality control and efficient workflows.

Prepare regular campaign, digital and PR performance reports, including KPIs, learnings, optimization recommendations and management-level summaries.

Monitor media coverage, social conversations, competitor communication and relevant external trends to identify opportunities and risks.

Support external events, media activations, stakeholder initiatives and pharmacy/partner visibility projects with communication materials and digital assets.

Ensure all communication activities comply with internal approval processes, brand guidelines, healthcare regulations and Novo Nordisk’s ethical communication standards.
Your new department
You will join a cross-functional environment working closely with Marketing, Medical and external agencies. The role acts as a key coordination point, contributing to integrated communication initiatives that reflect Novo Nordisk’s ethical, science-based and consumer-focused approach. You can expect a high level of independence, varied stakeholders and multiple parallel workstreams.
Your skills and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you are expected to bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution experience within digital and external communications.
We expect you to have:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relation, business or a related filed, specialization in digital marketing is an advantage.

5+ years of experience in digital marketing, PR, external communications or integrated campaign management.

Strong understanding of PR, media relations, content development and external stakeholder communication.

Hands-on understanding of digital campaign management across social media, Google, programmatic, native and content platforms.

Experience in agency management, briefing, feedback, production coordination and campaign delivery.

Ability to translate strategic objectives into clear communication plans, content calendars and measurable campaign actions.

Strong analytical mindset with experience in campaign reporting, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, social platform data or media performance dashboards.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines and stakeholders in parallel.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in Hungarian and English.

Experience in healthcare, pharma, OTC, FMCG or regulated communication environments is an advantage.

Understanding of compliance-driven communication and internal approval processes is highly preferred.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 16,174,040 to 25,878,470 HUF, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
