Your new role

As a Patient Journey Manager in the Market Access and Public Affairs department, you will play a key role in building this position from the ground up, creating a strategic role that is deeply anchored in the business.

 

This is a unique opportunity to shape initiatives that explore how patients think and react, driving impactful engagement across their journey. The role is highly strategic, influencing both patient outcomes and business results, with a strong connection to sales performance and overall organizational goals.

 

Your daily key responsibilities include:

  • Lead strategic and tactical initiatives to raise disease awareness and enhance patient engagement across obesity and diabetes care.
  • Design and implement innovative patient support tools in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the impact of engagement activities, partnering closely with marketing, customer excellence, and cross-functional teams while managing budgets effectively.
  • Strengthen Novo Nordisk’s reputation as a trusted ally to Romanian Patient Organizations, contributing to improved patient journeys.
  • Actively connect with global and regional networks, applying creative, compliant approaches aligned with internal policies, local regulations and ethical standards.

 

The role will be based in Bucharest, Romania and will report directly to the Director External Affairs.

 

Your new department

In the External Affairs team in Romania, you will be part of a team that leads strategic initiatives to shape national policy, partnering with the Ministry of Health, medical societies, and patient organizations to drive long-term prevention, screening, and treatment solutions.

 

You’ll work alongside three driven and expert colleagues from different backgrounds. By fostering strong stakeholder alignment and multidisciplinary collaboration, we reinforce Novo Nordisk’s role as a trusted partner in public health and meaningful patient impact.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to meaningful patient engagement initiatives. You’ll bring with you:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Medicine, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on B2B/B2C marketing and communications experience in pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or marketing agencies.
  • Proven expertise in leveraging digital platforms, alternative tools, and social media campaigns to engage audiences effectively. A curious and agile approach, with an empathetic approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive processes and rapidly developing business acumen.
  • Proficiency in both English and Romanian, both verbally and in writing .

 

Experience collaborating with patient organizations and/or working in chronic disease areas is highly advantageous.
