Your new role
As Communications Manager, you'll be at the forefront of protecting and enhancing Novo Nordisk's reputation across diverse global audiences. You'll develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that strengthen our relationships with shareholders, investors, government bodies, and communities while addressing critical social, economic, and environmental challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive communication campaigns and strategies that align with Novo Nordisk's strategic vision, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms and audiences
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders including mass-media, patients’ associations, influencers, and government entities through effective PR relationship management
- Managing disease awareness campaigns, media relations and organizing high-impact events that enhance our public profile and influence across Romania and the broader region
- Leading social media strategies and delivering compelling presentations at events that effectively convey our mission and values
- Setting editorial policies and branding guidelines that ensure all communications reflect our values and maintain a cohesive brand identity
- Leading crisis communication efforts, providing clear and effective responses that protect and enhance the company's reputation
- Collaborating with internal departments to develop communications that foster employee engagement and align with organizational goals
Your new department
The Romanian External Affairs team draws on cross-industry experience across pharma, FMCG, and retail and has the mission to make our voice heard with clarity, credibility, and impact. From media and reputation to policy, stakeholder engagement, and disease awareness campaigns, we work closely with internal and external partners to support our strategic priorities across corporate and therapeutic areas.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a strategic communications professional who thrives in complex, global environments and can lead with impact. You'll bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
- Experience in communications, public relations, or related areas, with proven ability to manage both internal and external communications
- Demonstrated experience in developing communication campaigns and communication strategies that deliver measurable results
- Strong media management and event management capabilities, with a track record of organizing successful stakeholder events
- Expertise in social media strategy and events presentation, creating engaging content across multiple platforms
- Experience in PR relationship management and stakeholder engagement – you treat stakeholders as partners and create shared goals to drive cross-collaboration
- Proficiency in setting editorial policies and branding guidelines, maintaining cohesive brand identity
- Strong crisis communication management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations independently with clear, effective responses
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify improvements and create innovative solutions
- Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and set ambitious goals while maintaining focus on patients and customers
- Demonstrated curiosity, flexibility and agility to anticipate and adapt to changing conditions while demonstrating empathy and care for colleagues
Nice to have:
- Experience in marketing and brand management within healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors
- Background in developing or managing disease awareness campaigns
- Experience working with NGOs or non-profit organizations
